Air Fryer Nutella Bombs are sweet treats made with just four simple ingredients and cooked in an air fryer. They start with a can of refrigerated biscuits that are separated and filled with Nutella. After rolled up into balls, they are cooked to a golden brown. Then, to top it all off, literally, confectioners’ sugar is dusted over the tops. Each bite is bursting with Nutella! (I will also let you know how to bake these in the oven.) For another sweet dessert made in the air fryer, try my Cherry Pie Bombs, too!

Ingredients & Substitutions

Biscuits: Look for a can of Pillsbury Grand Biscuits, but not the flaky variety. You could also make these with pie crust doughpuff pastry dough (without the cinnamon), or even crescent roll dough. If you use a different kind of dough, the cooking times may vary a bit.

Nutella: Nutella is a popular brand of creamy chocolate-hazelnut flavored spread. It is enjoyed as a spread on bread, toast, or other baked goods.

Butter: I prefer brushing the Nutella bombs with melted butter before cooking them in the air fryer. You could use cooking spray instead, but our preference was butter for a better taste.

Confectioners’ Sugar: To add a little more sweetness to the treat, dust some confectioners’ sugar over the tops after the bombs have slightly cooled.

Can I Freeze Air Fryer Nutella Bombs?

Sure! To freeze Nutella bombs, first, place the bombs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Then, transfer to the freezer until solid (1-2 hours). Once frozen, store the bombs in a freezer-safe bag for up to 2 months.

Nutella Bombs are sweet treats made with just four simple ingredients and cooked in an air fryer. They start with a can of refrigerated biscuits that are separated and filled with Nutella. After rolled up into balls, they are cooked to golden brown and dusted with confectioners sugar.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (8-count) Pillsbury Grand biscuits, not flaky layers
  • 1 cup (280 g) Nutella
  • ½ cup (1 stick / 113 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup (31 g) confectioners' sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  • Remove the biscuits from the can and peel to separate each into two layers. Press each layer of biscuit into a 4-inch circle. (You will have 16 circles.)
  • Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the Nutella into the center of each circle.
  • Use your fingers to fold the sides together, pinching to seal. Shape into balls. Make sure the dough is the same thickness all around for even cooking.
  • Brush the tops and bottoms of the bombs with melted butter.
  • Spray the basket of your air fryer with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Working in batches, place the bombs into an air fryer basket* about 2 inches apart.
  • Air fry at 330°F for 7-8 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Remove the Nutella bombs from the air fryer to let them cool slightly.
  • Serve them with a dusting of confectioners' sugar.

If you love Nutella, you will enjoy this treat. It's like a Nutella sandwich, but made with biscuits and cooked in an air fryer. (Okay, it's not just like a sandwich, but you get my point…) Plus, there are only four ingredients.
