Whiskey Strawberry Lemonade combines the tanginess of lemon juice with the sweetness of strawberry syrup, balanced with a splash of whiskey and lemon-lime soda. It’s a refreshing cocktail that is served over crushed ice, garnished with lemon slices and strawberries for the finishing touch. It’s as pretty to look at as it is delightful to sip! Ingredients & Substitutions
Lemon Juice: Freshly squeezed lemon juice is best for its vibrant flavor. However, you could also use bottled juice.
Whiskey: It’s all about your personal preference when it comes to whiskey and the brand you enjoy. Bourbon, a type of whiskey, would also be delicious. If you are not a fan of whiskey but still want an alcoholic beverage, try using vodka, gin, rum, or tequila.
Strawberry Simple Syrup: Strawberry syrup is added to give the drink a fruity sweetness. It pairs beautifully with the tartness of the lemon juice.
Lemon-Lime Soda: Top the drink off with some lemon-lime soda (like Sprite) or club soda. Adding Sprite will sweeten up the drink more while club soda will tone down the sweetness a bit.
Can I Make Whiskey Strawberry Lemonade Without Alcohol?
Absolutely! If preferred, simply leave out the whiskey! By removing the whiskey, you’ll still be left with a delightful blend of tangy lemon juice, sweet strawberry syrup, and lemon-lime soda. It will be a non-alcoholic option that is perfect for those who prefer not to consume alcohol or for any occasion where an alcohol-free beverage is desired.
No Cocktail Shaker? No Problem!
This cocktail can easily be made without a cocktail shaker. If you don’t have one, use a to-go coffee mug with a solid lid. Fill the mug up with ice, just like in a shaker, and add the lemon juice, whiskey, and simple syrup. Cover the opening mouth part, and get shakin’! Open it up and pour it into the glass with ice. Top with the soda. Or, simply pour all of the ingredients into a glass over ice and mix it up.
Can I Make Whiskey Strawberry Lemonade Ahead Of Time?
Sure! If you are hosting a large party or gathering, double, triple, or even quadruple the lemon juice, whiskey, and strawberry simple syrup. (Wait until serving to add the soda.) Store the mixture in an airtight container or in a pitcher with a lid. It will last up to 2-3 days. When ready to serve, pour the whiskey strawberry lemonade over a glass with ice. Top with lemon-lime soda or club soda.

Although I do like whiskey, this drink was a little too sweet for me. But, it is definitely refreshing, especially for the hot summer days we have been having around here! So, if you are a fan of sweet cocktails and like whiskey, you will want to make one of these drinks.
