I’m trying to think what my aunt made. Graham crackers was the crust. Philidelphia creme cheese mixed with strawberry jello. Evaporated milk I think a little vanilla extract pored into the pan and then what graham crackers was left sprinkle on top and refrigurate

Hi Christine – you can. However, the strawberries will be a bit mushier after being thawed. So it might not be as pretty, but it will still taste delicious!

Thinking of just making the mousse part when I don’t have crackers. Maybe I’ll try different flavors of jello. On a hot day, I’m thinking of this made with lime jello.

First time was a soupy fail bc I didn’t put the evaporated milk in the freezer. My fault.
Second time i followed the instructions completely and it was so so good.

Follow instructions ppl and it will work out!

So sorry that the recipe didn’t seem to work for you! Do you mean it never “set” after the overnight refrigeration? That probably means the evaporated milk wasn’t whipped to soft peaks.

It still never ‘set’. Came out a soupy mess when trying to cut it. The flavor was good…
