So I tried this recipe exactly as described and it seemed like the crust around the pie was just falling apart and not standing perfectly straight or appearing to look soft like in your pictures. Did you store all the pies overnight before stacking them? Also, I know you reference whipped cream, but did you mean cake frosting? My cake doesn’t have a smooth finish no matter how hard I tried using the offset spatula. All in all my wife loved it, and I enjoyed making it. I really would like to master this cake like you did yours. It’s kind of hard without a video tutorial.
