I made half a recipe of your wonderful icing tonight. I made a small cake in the bread machine and needed an icing for the cake. I found your recipe and it is absolutely delicious. Thank you so much for the recipe and the terrific tip on the purple food coloring in white icing.

Made my boys their favorite desserts for Mothers Day,,,,don’t ask…One will only eat white cake, white frosting and vanilla ice cream (one scoop)
It was a huge hit. Loved making it. Followed the recipe and also made the whipped butter cream frosting.

When you say butter in a recipe, do you mean salted or unsalted? I want to make this frosting and your white cake, but I need to know what butter to use. Thanks!

This! If you are looking for a good butter cream frosting that will hold its shape when piped and you don’t have to worry about it melting that also tastes good this is it! It is soooo good definitely my new go to!
