HI Karen – dry + dense = overbaked in most circumstances. If you enjoyed the flavor, I would try lowering the baking time by 5 minutes.

Addictive! I made a double batch of these two days ago, using Trader Joe’s honeycrisp sparkling cider and silicone mini muffin pans. Gave most away, took some hiking, everyone loved them. I’m doing it again today. That’s how good they are. Thanks!

These were delightfully apple cider-y – a perfect treat with a cup of tea or coffee! I love the included recipe for homemade apple pie spice too, which was so much fun to mix together and sniff. I’ll be making these regularly to share with friends and coworkers!
