Golden Oreo Dessert is a no-bake pudding dessert with layers of white chocolate and vanilla cookie crust, cream cheese, more cookies, cinnamon vanilla pudding, and whipped topping. The name and idea for this dessert are from a TikTok video by @nicole_thenomad. She didn’t know what to call the dessert when people asked her about it, so all she would say is ‘You’re gonna love it’! So, the name stuck, and it is definitely appropriate since everyone who tried it here loved it! To top it all off, I added some white chocolate curls for garnish. Try my Oreo Brownie Dessert for a milk chocolate dessert.
Like, seriously loved it. The kids have all declared this to be their new favorite dessert of all time!
Ingredients & Substitutions
Cookies: This recipe is pretty close to the original, but I added an additional layer of cookies to the mix.
White Chocolate Curls: I added the white chocolate curls to the dessert just for a lovely and tasty touch. You could also use chocolate curls. You can buy the curls or make your own chocolate curls to use.
Whipped Topping: Store-bought whipped topping works in this dessert, but I encourage you to try it with homemade whipped topping!
Cinnamon Pudding
Make the pudding first, since that will have to chill in the refrigerator while you prepare the rest of the recipe. To make the pudding, combine the vanilla pudding mix and cinnamon. Add milk and whisk for 2-3 minutes or until the pudding is thick. Pur it in the refrigerator to chill.
Cookie Crust
Just look at that cookie crust layer! It could not be easier and is seriously one of the best I have ever made. My secret was to add the white chocolate chips RIGHT to the cookie crust. Let me tell you how I did that!
To make the vanilla cookie crust, add half of the cookies and the white chocolate chips to a food processor and process until you have a fine crumb. You could also use a rolling pin to roll over the cookies that are in sealed plastic baggies to get them into fine crumbs. A hammer also works, but just gentle taps!
In a medium bowl, combine the crushed cookies and melted butter until the mixture is combined. Press the crust in the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking pan. Use your hand or the bottom of a glass to press it down flat. Set it aside as you make the cream cheese layer.
Cream Cheese Layer
To make the cream cheese layer, simply combine the softened cream cheese, half the cool whip (or whipped topping), and the confectioners’ sugar in a medium bowl. Blend until smooth.

Can this recipe be made without the cream cheese? Looks so yummy.
Hi, Betty! I work with iambaker and am happy to help with questions. We have not tried this recipe without the cream cheese, so I can’t say how it would turn out. Let us know if you try it, and have a great day!
I don’t have white chocolate chips, but I do have the white almond bark melting bars would this work if I chopped it up?
Made this today and the layers did not come out as generous as pictured. I had difficulty spreading it as thin as I could to reach close to the edges. Is this normal? I followed the amounts exactly. Either way it was so good and everyoneloved it!! Next time I might half the crust and do in a 9×9 pan instead of 9×13.
What size of a container is 8 oz of cool whip? Is that the smaller container, or if I can’t get a small…is it half the large. I don’t be,iDVD I just measure out one cup of the cool whip?
Hi, Connie! I work with iambaker and am happy to help with questions. The 8-ounce container of cool whip is equivalent to about 3 cups. I hope that helps, and have a wonderful day!
Perfect dessert! My boyfriend and I made this and attended a dessert contest and we won! Everyone loved it that there was nothing left at the end.
Can you use chocolate Oreos
Very, very good! I don’t like brown chocolate, so I’m always looking for good non-chocolate desserts.
My hubby who isn’t big on sweets went back for seconds and said it was very good–high praise from him.
I made it again for a family reunion, and a few people asked for the recipe. The cinnamon in the pudding is amazing.
Everything blends together so well and combines to make an amazing dessert.
I made this recipe for a recent cookout and it was a big hit! Every bite was eaten, and it got lots of compliments… the cinnamon in the pudding is a fantastic flavor addition! I used one family size bag of double stuffed golden Oreos and Ghirardelli white chips, (I did use homemade whip cream ..my personal preference to cool whip). When I assembled I just did three layers as I also thought it would be tough to make two separate layers of each. I did the cookie/chips/butter layer on the bottom, the vanilla/cinnamon pudding layer next, and the whipped cream/cream cheese on top. Fairly simple to prepare, and no need to bake.
I love vanilla Oreos! This definitely going into I am baker folder! I haven’t made it yet, but will bring this to my granddaughter’s graduation party!
