Orange Creamsicle Milk
A creamsicle is a frozen treat invention that is vanilla ice cream topped with a layer of frozen fruit juice. They were first known as epsicles over one hundred years ago, but you may know them as dreamsicles or popsicles. Now, the orange creamsicle flavor is included in lots of treats, including my Orange Creamsicle Cookies and this Iced Orange Creamsicle drink.
Orange Creamsicle Milk Recipe
This orange-flavored milk is fun to make at home anytime you are craving a sweet, refreshing treat and you don’t even need a blender!
Ingredients (full recipe below)
- Crushed ice
- Orange
- Whole milk–You could also make this with low-fat milk or your favorite milk.
- Vanilla syrup – You could also use simple syrup or maple syrup.
- Orange extract
How to Make Orange Creamsicle Milk
The first thing you will want to do for this recipe is to wash the orange. You should always wash oranges, even if you are planning to peel them. I did not peel the orange in this recipe. Simply slice the orange up and set the slices aside.
In two drinking glasses, evenly distribute the crushed ice. Fill the glasses about halfway with ice and add about three orange slices to each glass. In a separate bowl or pitcher, stir together the milk, vanilla syrup, and orange extract. Pour the sweetened milk into the two glasses and serve.
What is Vanilla Syrup?
Vanilla Syrup is what is adding to flavored coffee drinks. If you have ever ordered a Vanilla Latte they added vanilla syrup to it. It is basically a concentrated version of simple syrup with vanilla flavoring or vanilla bean added to it. If you don’t want to make simple syrup you can also use maple syrup is a substitute.
What does Orange Creamsicle Milk Taste Like?
There is no added cream to this recipe. It’s a sweet drink that has just enough of an orange creamsicle flavor in each sip. The sliced oranges add even more flavor to this smooth and refreshing drink. Cool and refreshing on hot summer days!

Question – Is the vanilla syrup you describe similar to the stuff that is sold at places like Smart & Final, Home Goods, etc. that are flavored syrups to put in coffee (at home)? They are clear liquids, usually a quart bottle and come in many different flavors such as caramel, mint, chocolate, etc.
