This is a very good pound cake. Not heavy like most pound cake recipes. I really love it. If you follow the instructions. It won’t disappoint.

That is because there is NO BAKING SODA OR BAKING POWDER in the recipe. You should NOT add baking powder or baking soda.

Softasilk cake flour. Your cream cheese pound cake recipe DID NOT call for any baking powder OR baking soda.

On Softasilk it said to I cup plus 2 TBSP
of cake flour for each cup of all purpose flour.

YOUR RECIPE DOES NOT MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT BAKING SODA OR BAKING POWDER.

Plain, it needed something. I served it with ice cream and mixed berries.

Great crumb and texture, rich taste that isn’t too sweet. I used AP flour instead of cake flour or a substitute. It probably would’ve been out of this world but if you don’t have that on hand, you’ll still have a dynamite cake.

Oh no! So sorry. The only way this cake gets dry is if it is overbaked. Is it possible your oven runs too hot? Were you able to check it at 1 hour?
