Hi Tom – please understand that if a cake took an ADDITIONAL 35 minutes to bake, that is most certainly an oven issue.

Took absolutely ages to cook and had to add an extra 35mins, although still a skewer came out not clean. Sunk in the middle.

Tastes ok, but definitely not one I would try again. All ingredients were in date and there is nothing wrong with my oven.

Truly the best chocolate cake I’ve tasted. I will delete all the other best chocolate cake recipes I have. It’s has much better flavor than a mayonnaise cake.

I put some in my homemade cakes and sometimes a bit in my homemade cream cheese cocoa frosting. I have even added a splash or two to my gravy to improve the flavor.
